Maira brings over seven years of professional grant writing and program management experience, along with 11 years of licensed healthcare expertise, to her role as Senior Grant Writing Associate at CPPG. She has successfully secured over $90 million in competitive grant funding from State and Federal sources. Her work has primarily focused on advancing initiatives in housing and homelessness, public health, mental health, and workforce development.
At CPPG, Maira has developed successful grant applications supporting housing access, homelessness prevention, and permanent supportive housing across multiple jurisdictions. Her writing consistently weaves together strategic planning, evidence-based best practices, and community impact.
Maira holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from California State University, San Bernardino, along with Certificates in Nonprofit Leadership, Grant Writing and Administration. Her previous roles in local government and regional planning—including with the City of Redlands and Riverside County’s Housing, Homelessness Prevention, and Workforce Solutions Department—helped shape her systems-level understanding of housing equity and the intersectional barriers faced by justice-involved and chronically homeless individuals.
