Renne Public Law Group (RPLG) Of Counsel Jim Ross is attending the 2024 County Counsels’ Association of California’s Civil Law and Litigation Conference, April 11 – 12 in Monterey. At the conference, public attorneys who provide legal advice and representation to California’s 58 counties and other units of local government will discuss recent developments in civil law and litigation and share best practices and strategies to improve service to their communities.

For almost 30 years, Jim has served as a county counsel, assistant county counsel and deputy county counsel. He served as county counsel for Shasta County and worked in Ventura County and Sonoma County before joining RPLG. He was most recently appointed as Interim Mendocino County Counsel. His extensive experience paired with the collaborative thought leadership between colleagues at the conference will be a fruitful supplement to his present and future work supporting counties.

“The County Counsels’ Association of California’s conference provides a great opportunity to learn about current issues facing county counsel practice,” said Jim. “I look forward to staying engaged with the network of California county counsels through the topical sessions that will be presented this week.”

The County Counsels’ Association of California provides a strong, unified voice for public lawyers and promotes cooperation through its communication system and membership.

RPLG practices throughout California, advising and advocating for public agencies, nonprofit entities, individuals and private entities in need of effective, responsive and creative legal solutions.
