Hopefully you are all adjusting to the new normal,  because President Trump just extended the shelter in place guidance through April 30th. Thank you for protecting your community and yourself by staying home to the greatest extent possible. Here is the latest installment of the COVID-19 newsletter:

  • Governor Newsom issued an Executive Order on March 27, 2020, expanding the authority of the Judicial Council. The order empowers the Judicial Council and the Chief Justice of the California Supreme Court to take necessary action to be able to conduct business and continue to operate while responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. Importantly, this order allows for remote depositions in every case and electronic service of process.
  • On March 28, 2020, the CDC issued a domestic travel advisory for New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut!  They urge residents to refrain from all non-essential domestic travel for 14 days. For more information, click here.
  • The CDC has partnered with Apple to develop a COVID-19 app. This app will include latest recommendations, how to monitor symptoms, and when to contact a medical provider. If you are interested, you can learn more here.
