One year after its June 2021 launch, Renne Public Policy Group’s (RPPG) nascent grant writing service, helmed by Manager of Grant Writing and Research Jake Whitaker, has worked to secure over $29 million in funding for clients in this first year, including the City of Bakersfield, City of Redwood City, and San Bernardino Community College District.
As the demand for criminal justice reform grows, local governments find themselves on the frontlines of these efforts. In response, the state and federal governments are investing historic amounts of discretionary funding into programs that facilitate the adoption of evidence-based practices and the development of new promising practices in the criminal justice space.
With the winter months and the holiday season fast approaching, the state and federal governments are in a “giving” mood. There are plenty of significant funding opportunities for local governments on the near horizon, including funding for fire departments, encampment resolution initiatives, the restoration of public spaces, economic/workforce development, and road safety improvements.
RPPG welcomes experienced grant writer and trained project manager Jake Whitaker to the team as Manager of Grant Writing and Research.
