Dan Carrigg headshotOn Wednesday, March 24 at 6:30 p.m., RPPG Senior Policy Advisor Dan Carrigg will join a panel of experts to discuss housing at Foster City’s joint City Council and Planning Commission Meeting.

Dan, joined by representatives from Bay Area Water Supply and Conservation Agency, Baird + Driskell Community Planning, EKI Environment & Water, Inc. and Fehr & Peers, will open the meeting by sharing information and answering questions on topics such as water supply, transportation, state housing legislation and Regional Housing Needs Allocation. The second half of the meeting will feature an overview of current Housing Element Implementation programs, such as the Affordable Housing Overlay Zone (AHOZ), rezoning of AHOZ sites, Multi-Family Objective Design Standards and Inclusionary Ordinance.

With over 30 years of experience working in Sacramento, Dan specializes in housing legislation and frequently publishes articles on the topic. Prior to joining RPPG, Dan drew on his background in construction to represent the Department of General Services and the Division of the State Architect and to serve as a senior consultant for the California State Assembly Housing and Community Development Committee.

“Foster City has recently contracted with RPPG for ongoing strategic consulting services,” said Dan. “I’m pleased to have the opportunity to engage with the community directly on a top-priority issue.”

Foster City community members are invited to join the discussion. More information is available on the Community Development Department’s Housing webpage.
